The grass fiber used in DONAU grass paper products is produced entirely without chemicals, using a maximum of 6 liters of water per ton of fiber raw material. It also stands out in terms of energy consumption. It is shredded purely mechanically, requiring only about 10 percent of the energy used in classic cellulose extraction from wood, while avoiding 95 percent of CO2 emissions.
